I can think of no other greater pairing for the bloated thieves of Italo Calvino’s Theft in a Pastry Shop (from Difficult Loves) than Will Cotton’s confectionery delights. From his cotton candy heaven to his pudding flooded hell, we travel the range of emotions as the thieves go from delight to gluttony. All the while we’re aware of the sensuality of this food, of its cremes moving over our tongues and pink curves under our eyes. Dive into one of my favorite books, and one of my favorite pastimes (perusing random art on Google).

One last great pairing:
Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat with San Pellegrino Limonata. It’s called a shandy. I do a mix of about whatever I happened to dump in there.
